12 Best Shopify Cart Drawer & Slide Cart Apps (August 2026)
Your cart drawer is the last thing a shopper sees before they pay. If it just shows a list of items, you are missing easy sales. If it shows the right offer at the right moment, it lifts your average order value.
This guide ranks the 12 best Shopify cart drawer apps (also called slide cart, side cart, or mini cart apps) for 2026. Every rating, review count, and price below was checked against the app's live Shopify App Store listing, most recently on August 12, 2026, with iCart and qikify re-checked on August 19, 2026 and qikify checked once more on August 26, 2026. Where a number is not on the listing — or where a claim is our own — we say so in plain words.
The market moved this year: qikify Slide Cart Drawer's listing went dark in mid August 2026 and has since been restored — it is live and installable again at 4.9 stars from 387 reviews, which we confirmed on August 26, 2026 — and Candy Rack quietly changed its listing URL. iCart, which an earlier version of this guide wrongly reported as delisted, is live too; we re-checked its listing on August 19, 2026 and it is back in the ranking below. Our status tracker below logs every listing change and every correction we have made, including this one.

Quick answer: The best Shopify cart drawer app for most stores in 2026 is Oxify Cart Drawer — a 4.9 star (37 reviews), Built for Shopify slide cart that lifts average order value across the whole funnel (product page, cart drawer, checkout, post purchase, and thank you page) from 9.99 dollars a month, backed by a 30 day promise: if your AOV does not go up, you get a full refund. Best free pick: Essent Cart Drawer (5.0 stars, 694 reviews, free with no order cap) or AOV.ai (5.0 stars, 780 reviews, free up to 30 orders a month). Best budget pick: Kaching CartDrawer (5.0 stars, 1,148 reviews, from 9.99 dollars a month). Best known name: UpCart (4.7 stars, 848 reviews, from 29.99 dollars a month). Selling bundles or BOGO deals? Monster Cart (4.7 stars, 490 reviews, from 12.99 dollars a month).
qikify Slide Cart Drawer, which you may be searching for, is live and installable again — 4.9 stars from 387 reviews, developer Qikify, free plan available, verified August 26, 2026. Its listing was unavailable when we checked it on August 12 and again on August 19, 2026, and it has since been restored; at that rating it is a credible option, and we will weigh it for a ranked slot at the next full re-check. iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell is live and installable (4.7 stars, 434 reviews, free up to 100 orders a month) — an earlier version of this guide said otherwise and we have corrected it. Details below.
Disclosure and methodology: Oxify — the publisher of this blog — makes Oxify Cart Drawer, the app ranked number one below. You should know that before you read the ranking. How we keep the list honest: on August 12, 2026 we checked the live App Store listings of the ranked apps (ratings, review counts, published pricing), and on August 19, 2026 we re-checked the iCart and qikify listings directly. That re-check found iCart very much live — correcting a claim we had published here — so iCart is back in the ranking with figures read from its live listing, while qikify's listing was still showing as unavailable. We opened qikify again on August 26, 2026 and it is back: live, installable, 4.9 stars from 387 reviews. We have retracted the delisting claim in the status tracker below rather than quietly deleting it. Claims that come from us rather than the App Store — like Oxify's average AOV lift — are labeled as ours, and we only name Oxify the winner in categories we can defend: full funnel coverage and the AOV money back guarantee. For budget we point you to Kaching, for free plans to Essent and AOV.ai, and for speed to CornerCart.

What is the best slide cart app for Shopify?
"Slide cart" and "cart drawer" are two names for the same thing, so the answer matches: Oxify Cart Drawer is the best overall slide cart app for Shopify in 2026 (4.9 stars, 37 reviews, Built for Shopify, from 9.99 dollars a month), Kaching CartDrawer is the best slide cart under 25 dollars a month (5.0 stars, 1,148 reviews), and AMP is the strongest dedicated slide cart for stores running paid ads (5.0 stars, 692 reviews).
What is the best mini cart app for Shopify?
A mini cart is the same pattern as a cart drawer — a cart panel that opens without a page reload — so the same apps apply: Oxify Cart Drawer (4.9 stars, 37 reviews) is the best mini cart app overall, and Essent Cart Drawer (5.0 stars, 694 reviews, free) is the best free mini cart, including a sticky add to cart bar. More on the naming in our slide cart vs mini cart guide.
What Is a Shopify Cart Drawer?
A cart drawer is a panel that slides in from the side of your store when a shopper adds something to their cart — also called a slide cart, side cart, mini cart, or AJAX cart. Instead of redirecting to a full cart page, the drawer opens on the same page: shoppers see their items, adjust quantities, and keep browsing without a reload.
That alone removes friction, but the best 2026 apps go further and work as mini conversion funnels: in-cart upsells, free shipping progress bars, free gift thresholds, countdown timers, and bundles, all before the shopper reaches checkout. The drawer is the last touchpoint before someone pays; the apps below turn that real estate into revenue.
The 12 Best Shopify Cart Drawer & Slide Cart Apps for 2026
1. Oxify Cart Drawer: Best Overall Cart Drawer App for 2026
Rating: 4.9 stars (37 reviews) | Pricing: from 9.99 dollars a month by orders (9.99 to 49.99 on the App Store listing; higher volume tiers via oxify.app/pricing) | Trial: 14 days | Setup: about 5 to 10 minutes | Built for Shopify

Oxify Cart Drawer (listed as Oxify Cart Drawer & Upsell) is our app — see the disclosure above — and here is the checkable case for ranking it first: most cart drawer apps stop at the cart. Oxify lifts average order value at five points in the buying journey — product page bundles and frequently bought together offers, upsells and one click add ons inside the slide cart, checkout offers powered by Shopify checkout extensions, a one click post purchase upsell after payment, and a thank you page offer. No other app in this ranking covers all five stages in one install.
What you get
- Full funnel upsells: product page, cart drawer, checkout, post purchase, and thank you page, with smart FBT and AI recommendations or rule based control
- A free shipping progress bar with tiered rewards and auto add free gifts (BOGO, spend goals, or shopper's choice)
- Bundles, quantity breaks, and buy more save more volume discounts
- Countdown timers, trust badges, announcement bars, order notes, and a discount code field in the drawer
- One click add ons (shipping protection, warranties, gift wrap) and in cart subscription upgrades (ReCharge, Appstle, Seal, and more)
- Full funnel analytics (revenue per offer — see how to measure cart upsells), many languages and currencies, Shopify Markets support, a drag and drop editor, and integrations with GemPages, PageFly, Klaviyo, Judge.me, and Reviews.io
Why it is number one: it replaces four or five separate apps with one install, carries the Built for Shopify badge, holds a 4.9 rating across 37 reviews, and is the only app on this list with a 30 day money back promise tied to your average order value: if your AOV does not rise in 30 days, you get a full refund. Oxify reports an average 30 percent AOV lift across its install base — that number is ours, and the guarantee exists precisely so you do not have to take our word for it. Agencies favor it for the same reason: one dashboard for the whole funnel means fewer conflicts across client stores, and the Enterprise plan adds full HTML template support for pixel perfect custom layouts.
What merchants say: one store put it bluntly after switching: they had tried several apps like Rebuy and UpCart, and Oxify clearly outperformed them for their needs. Reviews repeatedly praise how fast the team ships custom tweaks.
Best for: DTC brands and agencies that want to lift average order value across the whole funnel, not just the cart, without juggling many apps.
Oxify Cart Drawer pricing
Order based pricing; every tier includes all funnel features, with a 14 day free trial. The App Store listing shows the four tiers up to 1,000 orders; higher tiers are sold via oxify.app/pricing and are not shown on the listing.
| Plan | Price per month | Where it is sold |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 100 orders | 9.99 dollars | App Store listing |
| 101 to 200 orders | 19.99 dollars | App Store listing |
| 201 to 500 orders | 29.99 dollars | App Store listing |
| 501 to 1,000 orders | 49.99 dollars | App Store listing |
| 1,001 to 2,000 orders | 79.99 dollars | oxify.app/pricing |
| 2,001 to 3,000 orders | 99.99 dollars | oxify.app/pricing |
| 3,001 and up | 149.99 dollars | oxify.app/pricing |
| Enterprise | 299 dollars | oxify.app/pricing |
2. UpCart — Cart Drawer Cart Upsell — Best for Established Stores
Rating: 4.7 stars (848 reviews) | Pricing: Free for dev stores only, then 29.99 to 54.99 dollars a month, 14 day trial | Setup: about 15 to 30 minutes | Built for Shopify

UpCart is the best known name in this category, battle tested across fashion, supplements, home goods, and everything in between. It does not try to do everything — a branded sliding cart with upsells, free shipping bars, and add ons — but what it does, it does consistently well.
One thing many roundups get wrong: UpCart is not free. The "free plan" on its listing is for development stores only — a live store pays from 29.99 dollars a month after the 14 day trial.
Key features: in cart upsell and cross sell blocks, a free shipping and rewards progress bar, free gift automation, a sticky cart button, add ons (shipping insurance, warranty, gift wrap), cart announcements, and a fully branded UI with custom CSS and HTML.
What merchants say: "The best slide cart app — easily customizable and they have another app LTV which helps automate upsells with AI. Best customer service too, REAL people."
Weakness: no bundles, no countdown timers, no real analytics dashboard. If you want those, you need additional apps — or look at Oxify or Monster Cart instead.
Best for: stores doing 10,000 dollars a month or more that value plug and play reliability over cutting edge features.
3. Kaching CartDrawer Cart Upsell — Best Value Under 25 Dollars
Rating: 5.0 stars (1,148 reviews) | Pricing: Free for dev stores, then 9.99 to 24.99 dollars a month by orders | Trial: 14 days | Setup: about 10 to 15 minutes | Built for Shopify
Kaching is the newest big name here and the fastest growing slide cart by a wide margin: since launching in December 2024 it has racked up 1,148 reviews at a perfect 5.0 stars — more in roughly 20 months than UpCart has collected in about five years — while staying under 25 dollars a month at every tier. That combination is why it holds our value slot — iCart is cheaper at the very bottom, but Kaching scales further on features and rating.
What you get: a clean slide cart with an upsell slider (frequently bought together style), a free shipping progress bar, countdown timers, one click add ons like gift wrap and shipping protection, payment icons, translations for seven languages including German, French, and Spanish, and compatibility with PageFly and GemPages.
Weakness: it is a focused cart drawer, not a full funnel system. If you want bundles, free gift tiers, or post purchase offers on top of the drawer, Oxify or Monster Cart cover more ground.
Best for: stores that want a polished, Built for Shopify slide cart with upsells and timers for under 25 dollars a month.
4. AMP — Slide Cart Drawer — Best for Paid Ad Stores & CRO
Rating: 5.0 stars (692 reviews) | Pricing: Free Forever plan, then 14.99 or 29.99 dollars a month, 7 day trial | Setup: about 20 to 40 minutes | Built for Shopify

AMP is built around one goal: make every cart worth more. It uses simple psychology — progress bars, free gift goals, and stacked offers — to push shoppers past spending steps, which is exactly what you need when every visitor arrived via a paid click.
What you get: cart upsells including frequently bought together, a rewards progress bar with spend goals, free gifts triggered by product, quantity, or cart value, discount stacking, announcement bars, one click shipping protection upsells, and a sticky cart drawer reachable from any page.
Weakness: several merchants note that pricing can climb once you move past the free tier. If budget is tight, compare it with Oxify and Kaching first. Merchants praise the real human support and the companion analytics app that helps automate upsells.
Best for: stores running heavy Meta or Google ads, where every visitor needs to convert at the highest value.
5. AOV.ai Cart Drawer — Best Free Way to Start (Up to 30 Orders a Month)
Rating: 5.0 stars (780 reviews) | Pricing: Forever Free plan up to 30 monthly orders, then 15.99, 25.99, or 35.99 dollars a month, plus a 55.99 dollar Shopify Plus tier | Setup: under 10 minutes | Built for Shopify

A perfect 5.0 rating across 780 reviews, and the core drawer is free — with one catch most roundups skip: the Forever Free plan caps at 30 orders a month. Under that cap it is the classic no risk test for a brand new store; past it, paid tiers start at 15.99 dollars a month.
What you get: a clean, fast slide cart, built in product upsells, a free shipping progress bar, and a high converting mobile layout.
Weakness: no countdown timers, bundles, or analytics — and the 30 order cap means a growing store outgrows the free plan within months. At that point compare the paid tiers against Kaching and Essent.
Best for: new stores, side projects, and bootstrapped brands doing fewer than 30 orders a month.
6. Essent Cart Drawer: Best Genuinely Free App (and Best for Shopify Markets)
Rating: 5.0 stars (694 reviews) | Pricing: Free, no order cap | Setup: under 5 minutes | Built for Shopify

Essent Cart Drawer is the most underrated app on this list and the only feature rich drawer here that is genuinely free — no order cap, no dev store restriction. It holds a perfect 5.0 rating across 694 reviews and carries the Built for Shopify badge. Almost no other roundup includes it.
What you get: a customizable slide cart, in cart upsells, subscription support, a reward bar with free shipping goals, countdown timers, discount codes, order notes, a sticky add to cart bar, an announcement bar, custom HTML for deeper design control, and full support for many languages, currencies, and Shopify Markets.
What merchants say: reviews highlight fast setup and strong support; one merchant called it one of the only options that worked cleanly with Shopify Markets, another the Rebuy cart drawer replacement they had been hunting for.
Best for: stores selling in many countries that want a free, well built drawer with real Shopify Markets support.
7. CornerCart: Best for Speed and Real Inventory Free Gifts
Rating: 4.9 stars (295 reviews) | Pricing: Free plan, then 15 to 59 dollars a month by Shopify plan, 30 day trial | Built for Shopify

CornerCart is built to stay fast and stable under load — the app merchants trust not to buckle during flash sales. It is also one of the oldest apps here (launched November 2019), with a 4.9 rating and 96 percent five star reviews to show for it.
What you get: a lightweight cart drawer, a multi step progress bar for free gifts and free shipping, smart frequently bought together upsells, one click add ons, an FAQ widget in the corner popup, and support for many currencies and languages.
Why it stands out: most free gift apps make you create zero dollar dummy products, which breaks inventory reports. CornerCart uses real products as gifts — if a shopper adds the gift on its own, they pay full price. That small design choice solves a real problem other apps ignore.
Best for: high traffic stores and Shopify Plus brands that cannot afford any speed drop.
8. Monster Cart: Best for Bundles and BOGO
Rating: 4.7 stars (490 reviews) | Pricing: Starter 12.99 dollars a month (up to 50 orders), Scaler 21.99 dollars a month (51 to 200 orders), free for partner stores, 10 day trial | Setup: about 15 to 30 minutes | Built for Shopify

Monster Cart (listed as Monster Cart Upsell+ Free Gift) is built for stores that live on bundles and volume deals, and it works across the whole store, not just the cart drawer.
What you get: buy more save more volume discounts on product pages, progress bars that unlock free gifts, free shipping, and store credit, smart frequently bought together picks, one click add ons, in cart scarcity timers, announcement banners, and a fully custom slide cart.
What merchants say: many praise the responsive support and the AOV lift without popups. A few older reviews mention billing confusion, so watch your plan tier as orders grow.
Best for: bundle heavy and BOGO focused stores that want volume discounts and cart rewards in one app. If bundles are your main lever, also compare the dedicated picks in our best Shopify bundle apps guide.
9. GoKwik Cart Drawer & Upsell — Best for COD and Fraud Prone Markets
Rating: 5.0 stars (36 reviews) | Pricing: 19.99 to 149.99 dollars a month by orders | Trial: 14 days | Setup: about 10 to 20 minutes
GoKwik comes at the cart drawer from a different angle: fraud and RTO (return to origin) protection built into the cart itself. Launched in December 2024 by the team behind GoKwik's checkout suite, it pairs an AI powered slide cart with the risk tools that matter in cash on delivery markets like India.
What you get: an AI powered drawer with one click add on upsells, a progress bar with rewards and free gift rules, countdown timers, tiered discounts, fraud and RTO protection for COD orders, and multi currency support.
Weakness: only 36 reviews so far (all five star), no free plan, and no Built for Shopify badge yet. If your store rarely sees COD orders, Oxify or Kaching give you more per dollar.
Best for: stores selling in India or other cash on delivery heavy markets where RTO fraud eats margins.
Upsell Engines With Cart Drawer Features (10–11)
These last two are upsell apps first and cart apps second. Their drawers are more basic than the nine above, but if your priority is upsell offers at every step rather than a deeply customized cart, they belong on your shortlist.
10. Upsell & Cross Sell — Selleasy: Best Budget Upsell Engine
Rating: 4.9 stars (2,493 reviews) | Pricing: Free up to 50 orders a month, then 9, 19, or 29 dollars a month, 30 day trial | Setup: about 10 to 15 minutes | Built for Shopify

Selleasy has quietly built one of the most reviewed upsell apps on the whole App Store — 2,493 reviews at 4.9 stars — and stays cheap at every tier, covering upsells on the product page, cart, checkout, and after purchase.
What you get: frequently bought together bundles on product pages, in cart upsell widgets, post purchase one click upsell pages, checkout upsells (works with Shopify Plus), cart add ons like warranty and gift wrap, a free plan with all features up to 50 orders a month, and many languages and currencies.
Weakness: the drawer itself is not as customizable as the dedicated drawers above — it is an upsell engine with cart features, not a cart builder.
Best for: budget minded stores that want upsells at every step for under 30 dollars a month.
11. Candy Rack — Best All-in-One Upsell Popups
Rating: 4.9 stars (222 reviews) | Pricing: Free for trial and dev stores, then Lite 29.99 (up to 50 orders), Starter 39.99 (51 to 200 orders), or Growth 59.99 dollars a month (201 to 500 orders) | Trial: 8 days, with a 60 day money back guarantee
Candy Rack (listed as Candy Rack • Upsell Cross‑sell) runs upsells across the whole journey: product page, cart, checkout, and after purchase. Its listing moved to a new URL in 2026 — details in the status tracker below.
What you get: upsell offers at every stage including the thank you page, a minimal built in drawer tuned for upsell performance, an AI mode that picks products for you, targeting by cart value, product, or collection, and A/B testing for offers.
Weakness: at 29.99 dollars a month minimum for a live store it costs more per order at low volume than Selleasy, and the drawer is minimal. If you want heavy cart design with bundles and timers, Oxify fits better.
Best for: stores that want polished upsell popups everywhere and are happy with a simple cart.
12. iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell — Cheapest Pricing Ladder
Rating: 4.7 stars (434 reviews) | Pricing: Free up to 100 orders a month, then 9 dollars (101 to 200), 19 dollars (201 to 500), or 29 dollars a month (500 plus) | Developer: Identixweb | On the App Store since: June 16, 2020 | No Built for Shopify badge

iCart is the cheapest full ladder in this ranking: a real free plan up to 100 orders a month, and only four paid steps topping out at 29 dollars. We re-verified the listing on August 19, 2026 — it is live and installable, contrary to what an earlier version of this guide said (see the correction below). If you are weighing it against the alternatives, our iCart cart drawer alternative guide goes deeper.
What you get: a customizable cart drawer with in-cart upsells and cross sells, bundle and volume offers, free gift and free shipping progress goals, and countdown urgency — with the whole feature set available on the free tier's order allowance.
Weakness: its 4.7 rating is the joint lowest here, it carries no Built for Shopify badge, and the editor is denser than the newer drawers — expect a longer setup than Essent or AOV.ai.
Best for: low volume and early stage stores that want a full featured drawer at zero cost, with a cheap upgrade path as orders grow.
Cart App Status Tracker: Listing Changes, Moves, and Corrections (Verified August 26, 2026)
App roundups rot fast. This section is our running log of what changed in the cart drawer category, with the date we verified each item — including a correction to something we got wrong ourselves.
Listing status tracker: qikify restored, iCart live
Update (August 26, 2026): we previously reported here that qikify Slide Cart Drawer had been pulled from the Shopify App Store; its listing did show as unavailable when we checked it on August 12 and again on August 19, 2026. It has since been restored — we opened apps.shopify.com/sticky-cart-by-qikify on August 26, 2026 and the listing is live and installable at 4.9 stars from 387 reviews, developer Qikify, with a free plan and a free trial available. We are retracting the delisting claim here rather than deleting it.
Correction (August 19, 2026): this section previously reported that iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell had been delisted alongside qikify. That was wrong. We re-opened apps.shopify.com/icart on August 19, 2026 and the listing is live and installable — 4.7 stars from 434 reviews, developer Identixweb, on the App Store since June 16, 2020, with a free plan up to 100 orders a month. iCart is ranked again in this guide. We are leaving this note in place rather than quietly deleting the error.
Neither app is delisted today. The qikify Slide Cart Drawer listing that showed "This app is not currently available on the Shopify App Store" on August 12 and August 19 was back to normal on August 26, 2026: rating, pricing, and a working install button, at 4.9 stars from 387 reviews. It does not carry a Built for Shopify badge. This was not unusual in August 2026 — several established listings were pulled and later reinstated with their review history intact.
If you have qikify installed, there is nothing to do. You can keep using it, and it can be reinstalled, updated, and reviewed through the store like any other listed app. If you were mid switch on the strength of our earlier note, that pressure is gone — move only if another app is a better fit on features or price, and use the steps below if you do.
5 step plan for switching cart drawer apps
- Document your current setup. Screenshot every drawer setting, offer rule, threshold, and custom text in the old app — you will rebuild these.
- Pick your replacement. If you want a sticky bar plus drawer combo at no cost, Essent Cart Drawer has it free, and AMP is the strongest paid pick in that shape. If you want a full funnel on top of the drawer, Oxify Cart Drawer covers upsells, bundles, and timers too; Kaching is the closest low cost match at 9.99 dollars a month, and iCart is free up to 100 orders a month.
- Build the new drawer on a duplicate theme. Duplicate your live theme, install the replacement, and recreate your offers there. Never run two cart apps live at once.
- Test on mobile, then publish. Add to cart, hit every threshold, apply a discount code, and complete a test checkout on your phone before switching the theme live.
- Uninstall the old app and check for leftover code. Check theme.liquid and snippets for orphaned script tags — leftover code slows your store even after the app is gone.
Moved: Candy Rack has a new listing URL
Candy Rack is alive and well, but its old listing URL (apps.shopify.com/candy-rack) now returns a 404 error — we hit it ourselves on August 12, 2026. The live listing is at apps.shopify.com/candyrack. If a bookmark or an older roundup made the app look dead, that is why.
Not found: K2 Cart
Merchants also ask us about K2 Cart. We could not find a live App Store listing for it while re-verifying this guide, so it did not make the cut.
Cut from this update: Snap Cart, Amote, and Kaktus Slide Cart

Earlier versions of this guide included Snap Cart (a gamified drawer with confetti reward effects), Amote (a beginner friendly drawer), and Kaktus Slide Cart (a free basic drawer). We removed them in the August 2026 update — not because they turned bad, but because this guide now only ranks apps whose live ratings, review counts, and pricing we have verified ourselves, and those three entries ran on unverified data. Any of them can come back once it clears that bar.
What Cart Drawer Apps Actually Cost
Most of these apps price by monthly order volume, so the sticker price tells you little. Here is the math merchants actually need.
What you would pay at 100 and 500 orders a month
| App | At 100 orders/mo | At 500 orders/mo |
|---|---|---|
| Essent | 0 dollars | 0 dollars |
| Selleasy | 9 dollars | 9 dollars |
| Oxify Cart Drawer | 9.99 dollars | 29.99 dollars |
| Kaching | 9.99 to 24.99 dollars (order tiers) | 24.99 dollars |
| AMP | 14.99 to 29.99 dollars (flat tiers) | 29.99 dollars |
| AOV.ai | From 15.99 dollars (free plan caps at 30 orders) | 15.99 to 35.99 dollars |
| CornerCart | 15 to 59 dollars (by Shopify plan, not orders) | 15 to 59 dollars (by Shopify plan) |
| Monster Cart | 21.99 dollars (Scaler, 51 to 200 orders) | Above the published Scaler tier — check the listing |
| UpCart | 29.99 dollars | 34.99 dollars |
| Candy Rack | 39.99 dollars (Starter, 51 to 200 orders) | 59.99 dollars (Growth, 201 to 500 orders) |
| GoKwik | 19.99 to 149.99 dollars (order tiers on listing) | 19.99 to 149.99 dollars (order tiers on listing) |
| iCart | 0 dollars (free to 100 orders) | 19 dollars (201 to 500 orders) |
The free plan fine print
"Free plan available" means five different things across these apps. Here is what each free plan actually covers:
| App | What "free" really means |
|---|---|
| Essent | Genuinely free for every store, no order cap |
| AOV.ai | Free up to 30 orders a month, then from 15.99 dollars |
| Selleasy | Free up to 50 orders a month, all features included |
| AMP | Free Forever plan with core features, paid tiers for more |
| CornerCart | Free plan available, paid from 15 dollars by Shopify plan |
| UpCart | Development stores only — live stores pay from 29.99 dollars |
| Kaching | Development stores only — live stores pay from 9.99 dollars |
| Monster Cart | Partner stores only — live stores pay from 12.99 dollars |
| Candy Rack | Trial and dev stores only — live stores pay from 29.99 dollars |
| Oxify Cart Drawer | No free plan on the listing — 14 day trial (dev and partner stores free, not shown on the listing) |
| GoKwik | No free plan — 14 day trial |
| iCart | Free up to 100 orders a month, then 9, 19, or 29 dollars by order tier |
Money tip: because most of these price by order volume, a new store lands on the cheapest tier automatically. Start on a free plan or trial, prove the app pays for itself, then upgrade as your orders grow.
How to Choose the Right Cart Drawer App
Before comparing features, know what a strong cart drawer app should cover in 2026: a slide out drawer that replaces the default cart, in cart upsells and cross sells, a free shipping and free gift progress bar with tiers, in cart bundles, a sticky cart button, an urgency element, add on upsells like shipping protection, subscription support, express payment buttons (Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay), and multi currency and language support. The best apps cover eight to ten of these in one install; apps that cover three or four are single feature tools. All 12 apps in this guide work with Online Store 2.0 themes.
Check Checkout Extensibility, not just features
Shopify has retired checkout.liquid customizations in favor of Checkout Extensibility. Any cart or upsell app whose checkout level features still depend on checkout.liquid will break — treat it as a hard filter when shortlisting, especially on Shopify Plus. Ask the vendor directly, or check the listing's integration notes. Oxify's checkout upsell, for example, runs on Shopify checkout extensions, and Selleasy's checkout upsells work with Shopify Plus through the current APIs.
"AI recommendations" — what to actually ask
Almost every app here advertises AI recommendations, but three different models hide behind the label. Rule based: you pick the products — works from day one, right for small catalogs. Per store AI: the app learns from your own order history — powerful, but a store with only a few months of history and a few hundred orders will not have enough signal, and rules will outperform it until it does. Network informed AI: patterns from many stores — helps newer stores, but fits generic catalogs better than niche ones. Before you buy on the "AI" bullet point, ask the vendor which model they use and what happens before enough data exists. Every app in this guide, including Oxify, lets you fall back to rules you control.
Just starting out (under 5,000 dollars a month)
Go with Essent (free, no cap) or AOV.ai (free to 30 orders). Learn what works, then upgrade when you have data.
Growing (5,000 to 50,000 dollars a month)
Pick Kaching or Oxify Cart Drawer. You need upsells, a progress bar, and pricing that scales sanely with orders. Both deliver, and Oxify adds free gift tiers and full funnel offers on top.
Scaling (50,000 dollars a month and up)
Use UpCart or Oxify Cart Drawer. At this stage reliability matters as much as features — you cannot risk a broken cart during a flash sale.
Running heavy paid ads
Pick AMP. It is built around offers and urgency to squeeze value from every paid click.
Selling bundles or BOGO deals
Monster Cart or Oxify Cart Drawer. Both are built for volume discounts and buy one get one offers.
Selling in many countries
Essent or Oxify Cart Drawer. Both handle many languages and currencies, and Essent has particularly strong Shopify Markets support.
Selling with cash on delivery (India and similar markets)
GoKwik Cart Drawer. It is the only pick here with RTO and fraud protection built into the cart itself.
Speed is your top worry
CornerCart. It is built specifically to stay light under load, and merchants running flash sales back that up in reviews. Whatever you pick, run a PageSpeed test before and after install — and never run two cart apps at once.
Cart Drawer vs Cart Page — Which Wins in 2026?
This comes up in almost every Shopify forum. The right answer depends on what you sell.
Pick a cart drawer when:
- You want shoppers to keep browsing after they add to cart
- You sell everyday or mid price products (under 150 dollars)
- You rely on upsells, cross sells, or reward bars to lift order value
- Most of your traffic is on mobile (drawers work great on phones)
- You want fewer page loads and a faster path to checkout
Pick a cart page when:
- You sell high price or custom products (500 dollars and up)
- Shoppers need to review long, detailed orders before buying
- Your brand uses stories or extra content at the cart stage
- You need space for shipping calculators or tax details
Pro tip: Many successful stores use both. A slide cart for quick shoppers, with a "View Full Cart" link for those who want the full page experience. Apps like Oxify support this hybrid setup natively.
Dawn's built-in drawer vs an app: the 60 second decision
You may not need an app at all. Many modern themes — including Shopify's free Dawn — ship with a basic cart drawer you can switch on in the theme editor. The decision is simple: if you only need the drawer itself (show items, adjust quantities, go to checkout), use the theme's drawer and skip the app. If you want the revenue layer — upsells, free gift tiers, progress bars, timers — that is what these apps add, and no theme includes it. Our guide to customizing the Shopify cart drawer covers both routes.
Why Cart Drawers Lift Revenue — and by How Much
Baymard Institute's long running research puts average cart abandonment around 70 percent. Part of that is unavoidable, but part is friction: every extra page load between "I want this" and "I paid" loses people. A drawer removes one full page load, which is why stores that swap the cart page for a drawer typically see the cart to checkout rate rise by about 3 to 12 percent.
The upsell layer is where the money is
Cart upselling means showing targeted offers inside the cart at the exact moment a shopper is about to check out — a frequently bought together suggestion, a gift wrap add on, a free gift at a spending threshold, or a one click bundle. Selling more to a shopper who is already buying is dramatically cheaper than acquiring a new one, and the drawer is the highest intent moment in the session. Configured with a full offer stack — shipping bar, free gift tier, one targeted upsell — merchants typically see average order value rise by roughly 5 to 20 percent. (Oxify reports an average 30 percent lift across its install base; that figure is ours.) The mechanism is threshold psychology: "you are 12 dollars away from free shipping" gives the shopper a concrete reason to add one more item. For the strategy behind it, see our AOV strategy guide and cart abandonment guide.
How to Add a Cart Drawer to Your Shopify Store (Step by Step)
Never set one up before? The process is the same across most apps:
Step 1: Install your pick from the Shopify App Store → Cart Customization category. Most apps activate in under 60 seconds.
Step 2: Enable the slide cart drawer, pick its position (right side is standard), and match colors and fonts to your theme.
Step 3: Add a free shipping progress bar, with the threshold slightly above your current AOV: average order 45 dollars → set the bar at 60.
Step 4: Add one upsell — a product that naturally complements your best seller. One targeted suggestion beats five random ones.
Step 5: Test on mobile: add a product on your phone and check the drawer opens smoothly and every element renders.
Step 6: Go live and track AOV, conversion rate, and mobile bounce for two weeks.
Step 7: Add the next offer — free gifts, timers, bundles — only after the basics are earning. Do not enable everything at once.
Real World Cart Funnel Example (Copy This Setup)
This is the exact configuration I would recommend for a store doing 30,000 to 100,000 dollars a month in physical products. You can build it in Oxify or AMP.

Layer 1 — Free shipping bar (top of drawer). "You're 18 dollars away from FREE shipping!" Set the threshold at 60 dollars if your AOV is around 42. Full free shipping bar guide →
Layer 2 — One targeted upsell (below cart items). Show the product most frequently purchased alongside what is already in the cart, using AI powered FBT recommendations if the app supports it. One suggestion, not five.
Layer 3 — Free gift threshold (progress bar). "Spend 75 dollars and get a FREE [sample/mini product]!" — a second milestone beyond free shipping. Free gift setup guide →
Layer 4 — Trust badges (bottom of drawer). Payment icons, secure checkout badge, money back guarantee. Small addition, measurable impact →
Each milestone gives the shopper a fresh reason to add more; this tiered stack is the configuration behind the 5 to 20 percent AOV lift band above.
Add-ons once the stack works
- Tiered "buy more save more" milestones: 50 dollars → free shipping, 75 → free gift, 100 → 10 percent off the order. Shoppers see they are "8 dollars away" and add one more item.
- Urgency triggers: a countdown on limited time offers or "free gift expires in 2 hours." Oxify, Kaching, and Essent have timers built in; UpCart and AMP need a separate app for this.
- High margin add ons: gift wrap (3 to 5 dollars), extended warranty, priority shipping — checkbox items that feel helpful and are nearly pure margin.
- Same ecosystem pairing: companion tools from the same developer integrate without conflicts — Oxify has its own Bundles app, AMP has an LTV app for AI automated upsells.
6 Mistakes That Kill Your Cart Drawer Performance
Mistake 1: running two cart apps at once
They will clash: double elements, broken checkout, slow loads — and conflicts with most wholesale or bundling apps too. Pick one cart system. Full stop.
Mistake 2: too many upsells
One or two targeted offers beat five random ones. When everything is an upsell, nothing feels like a recommendation.
Mistake 3: skipping mobile testing
Most Shopify traffic is on phones. Tiny buttons or slow animations on mobile lose sales. Test mobile first, desktop second.
Mistake 4: using only a free shipping bar
A shipping bar alone is a start, not an optimized cart. Add at least one upsell and one free gift tier for the real lift.
Mistake 5: ignoring the product page
The cart drawer boosts what already works. If your product page, price, or offer is weak, no app will save you. Fix the basics first.
Mistake 6: not checking your page speed
After installing any app, run a Google PageSpeed test. If your score drops a lot, switch to a lighter option like CornerCart.
